Whether your requirements are to be married in the hotel, or just use the facilities for a celebration, our wedding co-ordinators will be please to help plan your special day resulting in a truly unique, precious and memorable experience.

All our packages are based on 40 guests and cover everything except the cost of your civil service that would be held in our stylish Conservatory.

Devonshire Cream Tea Wedding

Marriage ceremony at either 15.00, 15.30, 16.00 or 16.30 followed by:

  • a celebratory toast drinks reception of sparkling wine a relaxed, informal, afternoon
  • delight of traditional Devonshire cream tea
  • including scones, jam, cream and Devonshire English tea

Champagne, Canapes & Music

Marriage ceremony at either 11.30, 15.00, 15.30, 16.00 or 16.30 followed by:

  • a two hour canapes & champagne reception
  • music played by our resident guitarist and singer/songwriter during the ceremony and vows
  • two hour celebration reception with continued live music

Wedding Breakfast

Marriage ceremony at either 11.30, 15.00,15.30, 16.00 or 16.30 followed by:

  • celebratory reception drink off Pimms & lemonade in the Courtyard

Evening Celebration Wedding Party

Special designed for those couples who may have preferred a church wedding or got married abroad or elsewhere and now want to celebrate with friends and family.

Arrive at 19.00hrs to be greeted by music from our singer songwriter playing his guitar. A hot & cold smorgasbord will be served at 20.00hrs for your guests, allowing them to enjoy the cuisine that Browns Hotel is renowned for. Music will continue for your guests until 23.00hrs.

Hi Helena, How are you? Hope you are keeping very well. Sorry we have not been in touch sooner. We did pop down to Devon the other week, as I was involved in the horse day at Saltram House; we visited my cousins in Tavistock, but we discovered you were away that weekend, hopefully having a well deserved and relaxing break. We are sorry we have not thanked you again for making our big day so amazingly special; we had such a beautiful day and everyone who attended really enjoyed themselves and loved the hotel. Your team of staff were very helpful and wonderfully polite; it makes a huge change to stay at a hotel where the staff are of such a high calibre and they deserve a huge big thank you from us. We couldn't have chosen a better place for our wedding. Take care, look forward to seeing you soon :o)
