We chose Browns Hotel as the venue for our wedding and could not have made a better choice. The service we received from start to finish was exemplary. The food was excellent throughout our stay and represented great value for money. We also had snacks served from the bar which were beautifully presented and tasted as good as they looked: the portion sizes were certainly ample and kept us going throughout the day.

The attentiveness of the staff was second to none and I have not stayed in a hotel where staff have been so polite, helpful and friendly. They are a true asset to the establishment. Our family and friends also stayed at the hotel and were very impressed with the way the hotel was run and how well they were looked after.

The rooms were immaculate and we loved the Molton Brown toiletries and bath robes that were provided. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. Any requests that we had were dealt with efficiently and all the staff from the house keepers to the hotel management could not do enough for you.

If you are considering getting married or spending time in this area we couldn't recommend Browns highly enough.

And a big thank you to everyone at Browns for giving us the best wedding we could ever have hoped for, and for making ours and our family/friends time there a memorable one.

How are you? Hope you are keeping very well.

Sorry we have not been in touch sooner. We did pop down to Devon the other week, as I was involved in the horse day at Saltram House; we visited my cousins in Tavistock, but we discovered you were away that weekend, hopefully having a well deserved and relaxing break.

We are sorry we have not thanked you again for making our big day so amazingly special; we had such a beautiful day and everyone who attended really enjoyed themselves and loved the hotel.

Your team of staff were very helpful and wonderfully polite; it makes a huge change to stay at a hotel where the staff are of such a high calibre and they deserve a huge big thank you from us. We couldn't have chosen a better place for our wedding.

To all the staff at Browns;

It's hard to know where to start with all the "thank-you's".

You were all so amazing and worked incredibly hard throughout the entire day. As quoted by many of our guests "nothing was too much trouble".

You were all so helpful and appeared so relaxed, even under potentially stressful circumstances.

We would like to start by thanking the chef and all his team for the incredible food. It was presented beautifully, on time and tasted exquisite.

For many guests, including ourselves, it was simply the best food we had ever eaten at a wedding breakfast.

A huge thanks to Steve and his team for managing the restaurant, bar, music and much more.

You worked so, so hard yet still managed to keep smiling well into the early hours of the morning!

Thanks to all the staff in charge of decorating the ceremony room and tables. It looked more beautiful than we ever could have imagined.

And finally thank you so much to Helena for managing and co-ordinating the entire day.

Your attention to detail was amazing and we are very grateful to you for all the work that you put in before the big day.

We had no idea how much work went in to preparing a wedding (having never done one before).

Thanks also to Kayleigh and Megan and anyone we have forgotten to mention.

Browns in Tavistock will always be a special place to us now, with some incredible memories of our wedding day.

James and I would like to thank you for such a great wedding. Everyone has been saying that it was one of the best weddings they had been too. I am so pleased that we chose Browns as you and your team made both families comfortable and helped with everyone's requirements. There have been lots of comments on how amazing the food was and as my friends and family are extremely picky about their food this is a great compliment to the chef.

Thank you also for our lovely champagne flutes, these were a great surprise. We have lots of photos if you would like some for your website, let me know and I can send some through.

You never know James and I might pop down for a romantic weekend to reminisce our lovely day!

Dear Helena,

Paul and I would like to thank you and the team at brown's for making our wedding day so fantastic.

From start to finish everything ran smoothly with great finesse and little obtrusion! I would like to thank each member of staff individually Steve, Megan, Kayleigh, Jose, and the rest (I didn't get everyone's name) for their hard work and ability to keep smiling on what must have been a very long and busy day.

The food was out of this world....we have had so many comments from our guests telling us that it was the best they had ever tasted.

This made us feel wonderful to have been able to provide our guests with this experience.

Thank you for recommending Rory, we have personally thanked him as he was fantastic.

We would love the opportunity to celebrate at Brown's again in the future and from the feedback from our guests I am sure there are going to be many positive recommendations for your hotel.

We actually got married at Browns and from the moment I walked into the hotel I knew it was the perfect place for us.

From start to finish we received prompt, friendly individual service. Nothing was too much trouble and they were clearly only interested in making sure our day was exactly as we wanted.

The day itself ran like clockwork with every member of staff ensuring our day was relaxed and stress free. The food was outstanding and was a topic of conversation well after the event!

We booked all the rooms for the night of our wedding and everyone enjoyed their stay commenting on how lovely the rooms were. To sum up, brilliant staff, beautiful hotel, fabulous food, the whole package!
