In the Summer months for an outdoor wedding we offer two outside areas which are licensed for civil ceremonies: the Garden Gazebo terrace – a roof top terrace secret garden, or the Juliet Balcony courtyard, with its panoramic views of the walled courtyard and the stables, offering the very rare opportunity in this country of an outdoor wedding ceremony in a tranquil and unique setting. 

The roof terrace gazebo, is a beautiful setting overlooking the wonderful Moors and the picturesque town of Tavistock.

Perfect for an intimate wedding in Devon and is suitable for smaller, more intimate civil ceremonies & weddings of 30 or less, were you can enjoy the seclusion of a private ceremony.

The entrance to the roof terrace is located under an 17th century archway leading from the courtyard, revealing a rustic, unique and charming roof top garden.

I would just like to thank you and your team for making Christmas and my 40th Birthday a most memorable occasion. Everyone had the most fabulous time and the food and overall service could not be faulted. Having such a diverse list of guests aging from 5yrs to 94 yrs of age was always going to be a tall order to cater for but you all did it with both flair and ultimate consideration for all of my invited guests. I too feel that I have made good friends in Tavy and at Browns Hotel and look forward to spending many more visits with you in the coming years.

Once again thank you so much. It meant so much to me that the event was such a success.
