Simply - seasonal dining in relaxed surroundings…………

Our award wining boutique townhouse offers a property with a unique twist, a quirky alternative with an edge of tradition and offers an area for all occasions.

When we took over Browns Hotel in 2006, we were emphatic that our renovation of this 18th Century Tavistock town house preserved the building's original features, whilst also sympathetically bringing the different rooms up to date with unusual, modern decoration. Browns Hotel comprises of seven distinct but smoothly linked spaces which all enjoy uniqueness whilst offering a sophisticated atmosphere.

The profusion of old and new all contribute to ensuring the event is one that will be remembered by everyone as very special.A completely unique 17th century coaching inn which looks quaint from the outside and exudes heritage, once you enter the property, tardis–like, the space opens up into multiple areas including a candlelit dining room, intimate library, elegant orangery, comfortable wine bar and lounges, secret rooftop garden and sunny, inviting alfresco cobbled court-yard.It really has a fantastic central location and an overwhelming distinctness' to the property.

We feel there is something about this building that creates a special ambience. Whether that's the abundance of atmospheric candles in the evenings, the unobtrusive music we play or the comfortable furnishings, it's our aim to make every aspect of a meal at Browns Hotel a wholly enjoyable experience.
