Christmas Break - December 24th – 27th 2009: For those who have already sampled the delights of Browns Hotel no introduction to its charm is required, but for the others the pleasure of Browns Hotel tucked away in Tavistock awaits them. An ideal retreat that guaranteeing the warmth of hospitality and memories. Relax and enjoy yourselves as we take care of all the trimmings to ensure that you have a memorable Christmas. Christmas Eve – Thursday 24th December: Arrive to the tradition of Afternoon Tea with Scones served in the lounge on arrival from 15.00hrs whilst you recover from your journey. Followed by a half bottle of Champagne in your room to soak up the bubbles of bath time and prepare you for the wonderful Al La Carte Dinner prepared by our team of award winning Chefs. You will be entertained by Carol Singers who will be passing through the Hotel to sing to you their festive cheer. You may want to attend Midnight Mass which is a stones throw away at our local Church, St Eustachius. Upon your return you will be greeted by Mulled Wine & Mince Pies before retiring. Christmas Day – Friday 25th December: Morning Tea, Coffee and Juices will be served along with our light Devonshire Breakfast. A five course lunch of traditional British Fare will be served between 12.00 – 15.00hrs. In the afternoon relax with the Queens Speech and a selection of traditional games, Afternoon Tea with Xmas Cake will be served in the lounges @ 17.00hrs. In the evening to finish the day we serve a delicious light buffet supper of cold cuts of meat, homemade pickles, chutneys and varied salads allowing you to retire at your own leisure. Boxing Day – Saturday 26th December: A hearty Champagne breakfast will be served until 10.00hrs to set you up for your day out. Lunch will be available from 12.00hrs – 14.30hrs (optional £28.00) After breakfast you may like to observe the yearly West Devon Hunt that meets in Bedford Square to continue the century old tradition - or take a gentle stroll around the award winning market town of Tavistock or if you feel energetic explore the splendour of the rolling moors, or enjoy a chance to walk off the Christmas Day indulgence by joining the East Dart Falls walk. Tea will be served in the lounges from 15.00hrs and in the evening we shall offer you five courses from our exquisite “Taster Menu” the Crème De La Crème of menus. Sunday 27th December: Enjoy a leisurely breakfast served in the Orangery before departing, then we bid a fond farewell to family and new found friends or extend your stay…………… |
