Hi Helena, How are you? Hope you are keeping very well. Sorry we have not been in touch sooner. We did pop down to Devon the other week, as I was involved in the horse day at Saltram House; we visited my cousins in Tavistock, but we discovered you were away that weekend, hopefully having a well deserved and relaxing break. We are sorry we have not thanked you again for making our big day so amazingly special; we had such a beautiful day and everyone who attended really enjoyed themselves and loved the hotel. Your team of staff were very helpful and wonderfully polite; it makes a huge change to stay at a hotel where the staff are of such a high calibre and they deserve a huge big thank you from us. Just a brief note to say how much we enjoyed out stay at Brown’s last weekend. We were truly delighted with every aspect from the plush accommodation to the gourmet meals. James and I would like to thank you for such a great wedding. Everyone has been saying that it was one of the best weddings they had been too. I am so pleased that we chose Browns as you and your team made both families comfortable and helped with everyone’s requirements. There have been lots of comments on how amazing the food was and as my friends and family are extremely picky about their food this is a great compliment to the chef. Thank you also for our lovely champagne flutes, these were a great surprise. We have lots of photos if you would like some for your website, let me know and I can send some through. Sir/Madam just last week I had the pleasure of staying at your hotel for 3 days. I am a management consultant and spend some 40 weeks per annum in Hotels (internationally as well as Nationally) so I really get to see the whole range of service standards and attitudes of staff. I do not write letters/emails normally however I felt must congratulate your team at the hotel, specifically the 3 young ladies who served me at reception, and with room service. Nothing was too much trouble, they all had great smiles and I honestly felt that they meant it. (too many times you get the smiles and service but know its just a put on face!). They were all very friendly, courteous, polite and chatted with me as if I had been a friend rather than just a hotel guest. I did ask for pea's on one occasion and was politely informed why I could not have them (but was then offered them as a member of your team offered to go and get some!) The food I had was superb, I especially enjoyed the steak and again your chef kindly made me a peppercorn sauce which was not on the menu. I would heartily recommend your hotel to my friends and family and again my sincere thanks and congratulations on a superb team.

Paul and I would like to thank you and the team at brown's for making our wedding day so fantastic. From start to finish everything ran smoothly with great finesse and little obtrusion! I would like to thank each member of staff individually Steve, Megan, Kayleigh, Jose, and the rest ( i didn't get everyone's name) for their hard work and ability to keep smiling on what must have been a very long and busy day. The food was out of this world....we have had so many comments from our guests telling us that it was the best they had ever tasted. This made us feel wonderful to have been able to provide our guests with this experience. Thank you for recommending Rory, we have personally thanked him as he was fantastic. Just a quick email to say a huge thank you for all of your help (& your colleagues) in organizing my fathers birthday surprise. My parents had a fab stay and said they were looked after superbly and our looking forward to coming back again soon.

Sorry it's taken a while to e mail you, we had some time off and it's been a bit hectic to say the least! Thank you so much for organising our wedding for us. We had the perfect day and I have to say that everybody said the venue was beautiful and the food was outstanding!! The weather was on our side which was just the icing on the cake and the day was as relaxed as we had hoped. All of your staff are so lovely and just seemed to mingle in. Thank you.

We actually got married at Browns and from the moment I walked into the hotel I knew it was the perfect place for us. From start to finish we received prompt, friendly individual service. Nothing was too much trouble and they were clearly only interested in making sure our day was exactly as we wanted. The day itself ran like clockwork with every member of staff ensuring our day was relaxed and stress free. The food was outstanding and was a topic of conversation well after the event! We booked all the rooms for the night of our wedding and everyone enjoyed their stay commenting on how lovely the rooms were. To sum up, brilliant staff, beautiful hotel, fabulous food, the whole package!

Browns has the friendliest reception staff I have ever encountered. Both receptionists on duty during our stay of May 27, 2009, were exceptionally helpful, friendly, and attentive.

We have just returned from our short stay with you and wanted to say how impressed we were. The hotel, rooms and restaurant are lovely and ESPECIALLY the staff. The young blonde receptionist / waitress was a delight and the young blonde guy who was waiting on Tuesday eve too - both are a real credit to the hotel. We shall definitely try the restaurant in the future.
