We had a most enjoyable stay. We found the staff to be most helpful and nothing was too much trouble. The food was excellent. We had only booked for one night and were so impressed that we booked ourselves in for a second night. You made sure there was every facility to make our stay comfortable. All in all, I would not hesitate to recommend Browns and wish to thank all the staff for making our stay a pleasant one.

My husband & I, with our two friends stayed at Browns this past weekend as we had a wedding in the area. I have to say we were all very impressed with the hotel. We stay at some very luxurious hotels but Browns has to come top with the most friendly, helpful & polite staff we've ever come across. Nothing was too much trouble and it was a pleasure staying at this hotel. Also the food was terrific. The hotel thoroughly deserves it's 4 Star Gold Award. Well done!

We came to Browns on Sunday just for a brief escape and I just wanted to say what a lovely time we had. The food was fantastic, as were the staff. The whole place just had the right balance of being special but relaxing as we only ventured down the road from Plymouth (escape from the kids for 24 hrs!). We definitely hope to return again to use it as a little hidey hole in the future. Thank you.

Although we discussed the very successful luncheon party yesterday I would like to put it on record that my wife and I, and our guests, had a superb time in your excellent restaurant. My wife and I travel abroad extensively and we have been to some of the finest restaurants that one can imagine. Yours is up there with them on cuisine and service. Thanks to you and all your staff for making my wife's birthday so enjoyable.

Myself and my work colleague Jane arrived at Browns on Tuesday the 24th of February 2009, a couple of weary travellers who had been on the road since 8am. The welcome we received was so warm and genuine and the tea and coffees gratefully received! Our delight at finding we had been upgraded to the four poster room and the executive room was beyond belief! Both rooms were gorgeous and i could not find fault with any part of our overnight stay. In particular the staff could not have been friendlier or more helpful, they really went above and beyond and clearly take pride in delivering excellent customer service. The little touches such as the DVD library and the Molton Brown goodies really add another touch of luxury too. It was with heavy heart we checked out on the Wednesday as we really could have stayed for much longer. I have recommened Browns and Tavistock itself to all my friends and family. I can't wait to have a return visit hopefully in the Summer.

This is a very brief, but heartfelt, thank you to you for a wonderful evening last night. We thought that the meal was (if it is possible) even better than usual, and how you and your team managed to achieve that with the number of covers you had, and the attention to detail that was necessary to make it all happen, is something you should all be proud of. We shall thank you personally in the not too distant future, but did not want to miss the chance of this message. It was a great start to the year, which we hope brings you all of the success you work so hard for, and deserve to achieve.

Just a brief note to thank you for arranging our Diamond Wedding celebrations event on 12th February 2009. Things went splendidly and all our guests really enjoyed the atmosphere and the food. Many congratulations on your recent Gold award which was richly deserved and we think is bound to be repeated in future.

Thank you so much for a wonderful long weekend spent with you recently. Please pass on my thanks to all the staff that looked after us with genuine warmth and professionalism that is hard to find these days. Special thanks go to your Chef and Sous Chef, who created an amazing Valentines’ menu that was almost too good to eat!

This letter is to express my profound gratitude to you for the most wonderful evening which we had for our choir and bell ringers. The evening was a fantastic success for us, and it was especially kind and accommodating of you and your staff to tolerate our after dinner entertainment, which worked wonderfully well in the conservatory.
