I took a team of circa 20 people around Christmas time for a 2 day, 1 night team meeting.

Both Phil and Helena were more than helpful, from the organisation to the collection of us from the station. When looking at activities Phil presented a list of options but was also willing to take input if there is something particular that you are interested doing. We opted for a choice between horse riding on the moors or mountain biking but there are a range of more sedate activities available for less dynamic individuals. The nice thing about the location is that whilst it is a stone’s throw from the moors you also have the sea/water in reaching distance too if this is more to your taste.

The hotel itself is a treat with all the rooms being beautifully appointed with all the finishing touches you would expect. After the first day of activity we also had a more formal sit down dinner and dance which was all arranged for us by Phil, Helena and the team. Aperitif by the roaring fire, dinner that far excelled the standard fare that you tend to receive in larger chains and then music and dancing.

The following day was down to business and the session took place in an Orangery type room (Well room) really bright and airy and once again everything was seamless even in the face of those inevitable delays and nothing was too much trouble.

My final comment really would be that I found it a fantastic alternative to the general ‘conference facility’ which to be fair are so genericised it makes them bland and soulless (in my opinion) whereas with Brown’s I feel that we received a very personalised service and experience that I know people still remember.
